PCA Skin can address multiple skin conditions at once! PCA peels are uniquely formulated so that you can CUSTOMIZE a peel to accommodate your own special needs. For instance, if you have both acne scarring AND want fine lines addressed, we can treat them in the same appointment! (Many types of peels can only address one skin condition at a time).

The Types of Different PCA Peels:
Jessner's Peel
One of the keys to achieving healthy, beautiful skin is understanding the science behind the professional treatment products your clinician may use during your appointment so that you feel comfortable with them pushing your skin to its appropriate limits. A popular peel type amongst professionals is a Jessner’s peel for how it aids in correcting common skin challenges like acne and uneven pigmentation. Learning about some of the basic science behind a Jessner’s peel is beneficial for helping those that are seeking safe and effective results to feel more comfortable. A Jessner’s peel is a peeling solution that is designed to improve skin on a deeper level. It combines lactic and salicylic acids with resorcinol to exfoliate while treating conditions such as acne and hyperpigmentation. PCA SKIN was the first in the business to formulate a modified and enhanced Jessner’s peel called PCA Peel®, allowing treatments to be performed on a wider range of clients with increased benefits. Most PCA SKIN peels are self-neutralizing treatments, meaning they can be layered and left on the skin. The use of water or a comparable neutralizing substance is not needed.All PCA SKIN liquid chemical peels are blends of a variety of peeling agents at lower percentages making them gentle, effective and able to deliver more desirable, beautiful results.
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) Peel
Trichloracetic acid (TCA) peels are considered medium-depth peels. They reach slightly deeper into the skin than alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) peels–and thus often produce stronger results.
These peels also have the advantage of being suitable for most skin types, including darker-toned skin. To avoid discoloration, however, people with dark brown skin need to follow a pre-treatment protocol that may include treating the skin with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) first. (Your clinician will explain this process to you during your consultation.)
